Which Sand?

Super Sand is a fine, dried sand product that has polymers added to it that when activated with water will harden up to resist being washed or blown out of joints less than 1/2″.  It dramatically reduces weeds and insects in narrow joints.

Gator Dust is a crushed stone product similar to quarter minus that has polymers added to it that whenactivated with water harden up to resist being washed or blown out of joints 1/2″ to 4″. Like Super Sand, it too dramatically reduces weeds and insects in joints.

Beach or Dune Sand has a finer and softer texture than mason sand. Its uses include sand boxes, children’s play areas, volleyball courts, etc.Beach Sand

Fill Sand is a coarse river sand which contains pebbles. It is commonly used under flagstone walks and informal stone patio areas. Works well as a medium for breaking up clay or poorly draining soils.

Concrete Sand is a sand which has angular granules and packs very well. It does contain some pebbles. This is the recommended sand for use under pavers.Concrete Sand

Mason Sand is a finer crushed sand with more uniform granules than concrete sand and has been screened and washed.  It is the most versatile sand in terms of applications.  Works well as a joint sand between pavers and other narrow joints.  It is used in mixed concrete and for block and brick mortar.Mason Sand
